WindBA – Costa Brava Spring Cup 2022

Dear Opti representatives:

The Club de Vela la Ballena Alegre, located on the beautiful Costa Brava, is recognized for being the venue for top-level International Sailing events, not in vain our regatta course in the Bay of Roses is known and valued by the best sailors, Garbí ( Seabreeze ) and Tramuntana ( Northwind ) guarantee the best competition scenario.

The best-known event is the PWA World Tour (Professional Windsurf Association) event that we have organized continuously between 1999 and 2019. More recently we hosted, the F18 Worlds 2019 and the Hobie Cat Multi Europeans 2021 sporting events, and this 2022 season is running the „2022 Windsurfers Europeans – La Brava Cup” and the „23rd Hobie 16 Worlds”. https://youtu.be/tQh_-lUsfwY

Regarding the Optimist class, the CVBA organizes „WindBA Costa Brava Spring Cup 2022” from June 15 to 19, 2022.

Sailors and coaches will be able to familiarize themselves on the race course for future top-level international competitions in our club, as far as our Club was designated at the Optiworld AGM celebrated in Garda as the Venue for the 2023 Optimist Worlds.

We look forward to seeing you all next June, where we hope to enjoy some fantastic days of competition combined with an extensive program of social events.
